India has the potential to emerge as one of the world’s leading automotive innovation hubs within the next three to five years as vehicles increasingly shift towards software, artificial intelligence and advanced connectivity, according to Krishna Kumar, Managing Director of Harman India and Automotive R&D Country Lead.

The automotive industry is undergoing a major technological transition as conventional vehicles evolve into software-defined vehicles (SDVs). Software is increasingly controlling functions ranging from infotainment and connectivity to personalisation and other in-cabin experiences.

Kumar highlighted artificial intelligence, connected-car technology, satellite connectivity and driver-monitoring systems among the technologies expected to reshape future vehicles. Connected architectures also allow vehicles and their digital features to evolve throughout their lifecycle rather than remaining largely unchanged after leaving the factory.

ವಾಹನಗಳು ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್, ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ (AI) ಮತ್ತು ಸುಧಾರಿತ ಕನೆಕ್ಟಿವಿಟಿಯತ್ತ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಮೂರರಿಂದ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಟೋಮೋಟಿವ್ ಇನೋವೇಶನ್ ಹಬ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹಾರ್ಮನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಟೋಮೋಟಿವ್ R&D ಕಂಟ್ರಿ ಲೀಡ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ವಾಹನಗಳು ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್-ಡಿಫೈನ್ಡ್ ವೆಹಿಕಲ್‌ಗಳಾಗಿ (SDVs) ರೂಪಾಂತರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆಟೋಮೋಟಿವ್ ಉದ್ಯಮವು ಮಹತ್ವದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇನ್ಫೋಟೈನ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕನೆಕ್ಟಿವಿಟಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ವೈಯಕ್ತೀಕರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಇನ್-ಕ್ಯಾಬಿನ್ ಅನುಭವಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಹಲವು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ, ಕನೆಕ್ಟೆಡ್-ಕಾರ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸ್ಯಾಟಲೈಟ್ ಕನೆಕ್ಟಿವಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಡ್ರೈವರ್-ಮಾನಿಟರಿಂಗ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್‌ಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕನೆಕ್ಟೆಡ್ ಆರ್ಕಿಟೆಕ್ಚರ್‌ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಾಹನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಾಹನದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
