India could emerge as a major global automotive innovation hub within the next three to five years, driven by rapid developments in AI, software-defined vehicles, connected-car technologies and advanced connectivity, according to Harman India MD Krishna Kumar.

Renault India has partnered with IIT Kanpur to strengthen passenger vehicle research and development. The collaboration will utilise the National Wind Tunnel Facility to advance aerodynamics, vehicle performance, engineering research and sustainable mobility technologies.
