Force Motors Rolls Out 200,000th Mercedes-Benz Engine in India

Force Motors has achieved a major manufacturing milestone by producing its 200,000th Mercedes-Benz engine at its state-of-the-art facility in Chakan, Pune. The landmark engine is the M256 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol unit that powers the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 luxury SUV.

The achievement marks nearly three decades of collaboration between Force Motors and Mercedes-Benz, a partnership that began in 1997. Over the years, Force Motors has become a key manufacturing partner for the German luxury carmaker, producing not only engines but also front and rear axles for Mercedes-Benz vehicles assembled in India.

The milestone reflects Force Motors’ ability to consistently meet Mercedes-Benz’s stringent global quality and manufacturing standards. Every engine produced at the Chakan facility undergoes extensive testing and quality checks before being delivered for vehicle assembly.

Beyond the production number itself, the achievement highlights India’s growing capabilities in advanced automotive manufacturing. It demonstrates the country’s ability to produce sophisticated powertrain systems for premium luxury vehicles while strengthening its position as a global automotive manufacturing hub under the Make in India initiative.

Senior executives from both companies attended the rollout ceremony, celebrating a milestone that reinforces the long-standing partnership and India’s increasing importance in the global automotive supply chain.

ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಮೋಟರ್ಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಪುಣೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ಚಾಕಣ್‌ನ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಘಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ 2,00,000ನೇ ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಎಂಜಿನ್ M256 3.0-ಲೀಟರ್ ಇನ್‌ಲೈನ್-6 ಟರ್ಬೊ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್ GLS 450 ಐಷಾರಾಮಿ SUVಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಸಾಧನೆ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಮೋಟರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್ ನಡುವಿನ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ದಶಕಗಳ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 1997ರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಸಹಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಮೋಟರ್ಸ್ ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್‌ಗಾಗಿ ಎಂಜಿನ್‌ಗಳ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ನಂತರ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸೆಂಬಲ್ ಆಗುವ ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ಆಕ್ಸಲ್‌ಗಳ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿತು.

ಈ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಮೋಟರ್ಸ್ ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್-ಬೆನ್ಜ್‌ನ ಕಠಿಣ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಚಾಕಣ್ ಘಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಾಗುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಎಂಜಿನ್‌ಗೂ ವಾಹನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
