Made in India, Driven Worldwide: Car Exports Surge in FY26

India’s passenger vehicle exports continued to grow strongly in FY26 worth $9.00Billion (Approx ₹81,000Cr), supported by rising demand for compact cars and SUVs across global markets. Total passenger vehicle exports crossed 9.05 lakh units, up 17.5% YoY.

Africa – India’s Largest Export Hub

• Approx. 2.5 Lakh Units

• Approx. 28,000Cr

Africa accounted for the largest share of India’s passenger vehicle exports in FY26. Key destinations included South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco. Strong demand for affordable hatchbacks, compact SUVs, and durable vehicles helped India strengthen its presence across the continent.

Latin America – Fastest Growing Export Region

• Approx. 2.3 Lakh Units

• Approx. 25,000Cr

Latin America emerged as one of the fastest-growing destinations for Indian-made cars. Major markets included Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. Competitive pricing and growing acceptance of Indian SUVs and crossovers contributed to strong export growth.

Middle East

• Approx. 1.6 Lakh Units

• Approx. 18,000Cr

The Middle East remained a key market, led by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar. Buyers in the region showed strong preference for feature-rich compact SUVs, automatic transmissions, and premium variants.

ASEAN & South Asia

• Approx. 1.4 Lakh Units

• Approx. 15,000/- Cr

India continued exporting significant volumes to neighbouring and ASEAN countries including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Philippines. These markets benefited from India’s manufacturing scale and proximity.

Europe & Other Markets

• Approx. 1.3 Lakh Units

• Approx. 14,000Cr

Exports to Europe and other international markets included destinations such as United Kingdom, South Africa’s neighbouring regions, Australia, New Zealand, and select European countries. Right-hand-drive compatibility and global quality standards supported India’s export growth.

Export Leaders

• Maruti Suzuki exported 4.44 lakh vehicles, accounting for nearly 49% of India’s passenger vehicle exports. Strong overseas demand for models such as the Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Jimny and Grand Vitara helped the company maintain its position as India’s largest automobile exporter.

• Hyundai Motor India remained the second-largest exporter with over 1.9 lakh vehicles shipped overseas. Popular models such as the Verna, Exter, Aura and Grand i10 Nios contributed significantly to exports across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

• Nissan Motor India recorded strong export growth, driven largely by the success of the Magnite SUV, which continues to find buyers in multiple international markets.

• Toyota Kirloskar Motor expanded its global footprint through growing exports of vehicles such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, reflecting India’s increasing importance in Toyota’s global manufacturing strategy.

• Volkswagen India also reported healthy export growth, leveraging its Indian production facilities to serve international markets and strengthening India’s role in the Volkswagen Group’s global supply chain.

FY26ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ರಫ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ಪಾಲು ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ, ನೈಜೀರಿಯಾ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್, ಅಲ್ಜೀರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊರಾಕೊ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಗಮ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಕೈಗೆಟುಕುವ ಹ್ಯಾಚ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ಗಳು, ಕಾಂಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ SUVಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಿಕ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಲ್ಯಾಟಿನ್ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ – ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಫ್ತು ಪ್ರದೇಶ

ನೇಪಾಳ, ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ, ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶ, ಇಂಡೋನೇಷ್ಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಫಿಲಿಪೈನ್ಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ನೆರೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ASEAN ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾರತದಿಂದ ಗಣನೀಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನಗಳು ರಫ್ತಾಗಿವೆ. ಭಾರತದ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕ ಸಮೀಪತೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಾರುತಿ ಸುಜುಕಿ 4.44 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡಿ, ಭಾರತದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ರಫ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 49% ಪಾಲು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Jimny ಮತ್ತು Grand Vitara ಮಾದರಿಗಳ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಕಂಪನಿಯನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ವಾಹನ ರಫ್ತುದಾರನಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಸಿದೆ.

Hyundai Motor India

ಹುಂಡೈ ಮೋಟರ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ 1.9 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. Verna, Exter, Aura ಮತ್ತು Grand i10 Nios ಮಾದರಿಗಳು ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ, ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರಾಚ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಲ್ಯಾಟಿನ್ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿವೆ.

Nissan Motor India

ನಿಸ್ಸಾನ್ ಮೋಟರ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ Magnite SUV ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ರಫ್ತು ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ SUV ಅನೇಕ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor
