Tata Group Targets $100 Billion Automotive Revenue by FY2031

India’s largest industrial conglomerate is gearing up for what could be its biggest push in the automotive space yet. Tata Group has set an ambitious target of reaching US$100 billion (around ₹8.6 lakh crore) in annual automotive revenue by FY2031, reflecting strong confidence in both India’s auto sector and global mobility trends.

Sharing the company’s vision, Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said this growth will come from sustained investments across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). He also highlighted the growing importance of electrification, connected technologies, software-driven vehicles, and artificial intelligence in shaping the future of mobility.

To back these plans, Tata intends to invest around ₹40,000 crore in its domestic automotive operations. Meanwhile, JLR is expected to invest about £20 billion in new products, electrification, and advanced technologies over the next few years. The group is also working to expand its manufacturing capacity to nearly 1.3 million passenger vehicles annually, aiming to meet growing demand both in India and overseas.

On the passenger vehicle front, Tata has set a goal of capturing 20% of India’s market by FY2030. This will be supported by a broader lineup that includes petrol, CNG, and electric vehicles. The company also plans to increasingly integrate artificial intelligence and software into its vehicles to enhance product development, customer experience, and connectivity.

Overall, the announcement underscores Tata Group’s strong belief in the long-term growth of the automotive sector. If it meets its FY2031 target, the group could further cement its position among the world’s leading automotive players, while also creating new opportunities for suppliers, tech companies, exports, and jobs.

ಟಾಟಾ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಎನ್. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರನ್ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಈ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನಗಳು, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಾಹನಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಗ್ವಾರ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ರೋವರ್ (JLR) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣ (Electrification), ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿತ ವಾಹನ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳು (Connected Technologies), ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ಆಧಾರಿತ ವಾಹನಗಳು (Software-Defined Vehicles) ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ (AI) ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವಹಿಸಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿನ ವಾಹನ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ₹40,000 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಟಾಟಾ ರೂಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಜಾಗ್ವಾರ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ರೋವರ್ ಮುಂದಿನ ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳು, ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು £20 ಬಿಲಿಯನ್ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೇಶೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಲು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 13 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೂ ಕಂಪನಿಗಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ FY2030ರೊಳಗೆ ಭಾರತದ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 20% ಪಾಲು ಗಳಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಟಾಟಾ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್, CNG ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ವಾಹನಗಳ ವಿಶಾಲ ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ವಾಹನಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ಅನುಭವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿತ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲು ಕಂಪನಿ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ.
