Maruti Suzuki Starts Operations at India’s Largest Passenger Vehicle Manufacturing Plant

Maruti Suzuki India has commenced commercial production at its fourth manufacturing plant at the Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, making it the country’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturing complex with a total annual production capacity of 10 lakh (1 million) vehicles at a single location. The new plant adds 2.5 lakh units of annual capacity, increasing the facility’s output from 7.5 lakh to 10 lakh vehicles.

The milestone also makes the Hansalpur complex the first Suzuki manufacturing facility anywhere in the world to achieve an annual production capacity of one million vehicles at a single site. The expansion is expected to help Maruti Suzuki meet growing domestic demand while strengthening its export capabilities from India.

The Gujarat facility currently manufactures several popular models, including the Baleno, Swift, Fronx and the all-electric e Vitara. With the additional production line now operational, Maruti Suzuki aims to improve production flexibility, reduce waiting periods for customers and support its expanding portfolio of petrol, CNG, hybrid and electric vehicles.

The capacity expansion is part of Maruti Suzuki’s long-term strategy to significantly increase vehicle production in India over the coming years. Along with upcoming manufacturing facilities such as the Kharkhoda plant in Haryana, the company plans to strengthen its leadership in the Indian passenger vehicle market while supporting rising domestic sales and exports.

ಮಾರುತಿ ಸುಜುಕಿ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ತನ್ನ ಗುಜರಾತ್‌ನ ಹನ್ಸಲ್ಪುರ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಕಾರು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹನ್ಸಲ್ಪುರ ಘಟಕವು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಏಕೈಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಘಟಕದ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಿಂದ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವು 7.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಂದ 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹನ್ಸಲ್ಪುರ ಘಟಕವು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಸುಜುಕಿಯ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಮೊದಲ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆಯು ದೇಶೀಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಭಾರತದಿಂದ ವಾಹನ ರಫ್ತನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಈ ಘಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲೆನೊ, ಸ್ವಿಫ್ಟ್, ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಇ ವಿಟಾರಾ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಲು ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ಕಾಯುವ ಅವಧಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್, ಸಿಎನ್‌ಜಿ, ಹೈಬ್ರಿಡ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬೆಂಬಲ ದೊರೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಈ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆಯು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗಣನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಮಾರುತಿ ಸುಜುಕಿಯ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹರಿಯಾಣದ ಖಾರ್ಖೋದಾ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹೊಸ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕ ವಾಹನ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ನಾಯಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ದೇಶೀಯ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮತ್ತು ರಫ್ತು ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ವೃದ್ಧಿಸುವ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
